Overview

Varanasi, Ayodhya and Prayagraj together form one of the most spiritually significant travel circuits in Uttar Pradesh, India. These historic cities attract pilgrims and travellers from across the country and around the world. Varanasi, situated on the banks of the sacred River Ganges, is renowned for its ancient temples, vibrant ghats, traditional culture and spiritual atmosphere. Ayodhya is revered as the birthplace of Lord Rama and is home to the magnificent Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, while Prayagraj is famous for the sacred Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the traditionally revered Saraswati rivers.

Varanasi, also known as Kashi or Banaras, is one of India's most ancient and celebrated spiritual destinations. The city offers a unique experience through its historic ghats, narrow traditional streets, temples and rituals along the River Ganges. Visitors can experience the spectacular Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat, visit the revered Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple, explore Assi Ghat and enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the Ganges. Nearby Sarnath, where Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, also makes Varanasi an important destination for Buddhist heritage and spiritual tourism.

Ayodhya holds a special place in Indian culture and Hindu tradition as the birthplace of Lord Rama. The city has emerged as a major pilgrimage destination, with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir attracting devotees from across India and abroad. Important places to visit include Hanuman Garhi, Kanak Bhawan, Dashrath Mahal and the ghats along the Sarayu River. The spiritual ambience, illuminated temples and evening rituals along the river make a visit to Ayodhya a memorable part of this pilgrimage journey.

Prayagraj is another important destination on this spiritual circuit and is best known for the sacred Triveni Sangam, where the Ganga and Yamuna meet along with the traditionally believed Saraswati. Pilgrims visit the Sangam to take a holy dip and experience the religious significance of this historic city. Prayagraj is also internationally known for the Kumbh Mela and Maha Kumbh, among the world's largest religious gatherings. Other attractions include Hanuman Mandir, Anand Bhavan and the historic areas surrounding the Sangam.

A Varanasi – Ayodhya – Prayagraj tour offers a memorable combination of spirituality, history, culture and sacred river experiences. From witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti in Varanasi and seeking blessings at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya to visiting the holy Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj, this journey provides travellers with an opportunity to experience some of India's most revered spiritual destinations in a single tour.
